The Grounds Guys® of the Golden Triangle Volunteer at Corpus Christi Church

The season of giving has finally arrived, and Cade Howard, owner of The Grounds Guys of the Golden Triangle, recently displayed this facet by taking his team to Corpus Christi, Texas, to volunteer landscape maintenance services at a newly opened church.

While the team doesn’t normally work in Corpus Christi, the pastor of Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Church, Kaleb Rule, and Howard have prior connections. The pastor requested that Howard personally come to renovate the new church grounds. Howard and his team decided to lend a helping hand and provided $24,000 worth of work, including landscape design and installation, grading, planting trees and shrubs, installing rock and mulch, and installing a new irrigation and sod.

“When you have the resources and are able to help someone out by volunteering your time and services, you should,” Howard said. “I’m thankful to work for a company that constantly strives to pay it forward. We had a great time and knowing that is was for a good cause just made it that much better.”

The volunteer work took traveling to Corpus Christi on two separate occasions. The first trip was to evaluate and assess the property. The final trip was to complete the landscape installation. With twelve volunteers, Howard was able to complete the project in three days.

“The work Cade and his team did was phenomenal,” said Ron Madera, CEO of The Grounds Guys, LLC. “It’s nice to see how our franchisees take the initiative to help others. That’s what The Grounds Guys Culture of CARE is all about.”
