Husband and wife team Todd and Elizabeth started The Grounds Guys of Virginia Beach in October 2020. The couple, who has been married since 1996, has two daughters and adoration for the outdoors (well-manicured lawns). It was this love of family and outdoor spaces that pushed them to open their newly minted company. However, getting started seemed uncertain, but that didn’t slow them down. With the pandemic still in full swing, this duo started marketing holiday light installation to get the word out about their growing business. They sold over a dozen quality accounts for lights and knew that they had something special on their hands.
About The Grounds Guys of Virginia Beach
The Grounds Guys Insists on Providing Premium Lawn Care Services
How We Came to Be
Originally from Virginia Beach, Todd has spent most of this life here, so the opportunity to open a business near his local haunts was a no-brainer. He has always had an entrepreneurial spirit, having operated and managed both large and small companies in the Hampton Roads area. Still, opening a business with The Grounds Guys was his first foray into an ownership role. While Todd and Elizabeth are having much success building their lawn care and landscaping services business, they know they could not have done this without the support of their family.
Why We Want to Support Virginia Beach Customers
The Grounds Guys of Virginia Beach was opened to bring the couples’ passion for a well-maintained landscape to everyone in the area. Over the past few years, Todd kept hearing the same thing repeatedly that Virginia Beach needed a landscaping company that was dependable and had consistent services. As they continue to grow their business, they want customers to know that delivering on their promises is of the utmost importance.
Todd and Elizabeth will continue to set themselves apart from the competition by:
- Following through on all commitments within the proposed budget and time frame
- Showing customers that they CARE by exceeding expectations and treating all homes and businesses with respect
- Being a lawn maintenance company that supports both residential and commercial properties efficiently
- Working off a route structure so that customers know the day and time they should expect their landscaping crews to arrive for service
- Being awarded a top service provider by Home Advisor
- Serving Virginia Beach's great people since 2020
Todd and Elizabeth are proud to offer residential and commercial customers turf care, bed maintenance, weed control, pruning, planting, mulching, debris removal, and holiday lights services. Not only that, but they have reliable and trustworthy partners for tree pruning/removal, hardscapes, irrigation, and grading solutions.
Their ultimate goal is to be your first call when you need something done with your outdoor space. The couple is so dedicated to seeing Virginia Beach customers satisfied that they will manage the landscaping process—even if they don’t have the right resources to directly help—and find the best service provider for your needs.
