The Grounds Guys in the Community

Here at The Grounds Guys of Oakland County we care about the people in our local neighborhoods. We believe that the best businesses are made up of people who are committed to making their community a better place, and we are proud to have such individuals on our team. Check out examples below of how the Grounds Guys are always ready to roll up their sleeves and pitch in!

Breaking Ground at Urban Farming Volunteer Day

Smiling girl holding a shovelThe Garden Detroit (a Michigan non-profit organization) got a head start on spring with their project, Detroit Abloom, and the Grounds Guys were there to lend a hand! On Saturday, April 1st, 2017 a group of volunteers joined in to help with this great initiative that is revitalizing the Jefferson Chalmers neighborhood. The project focuses on re-purposing vacant land to better the community- in this case by planting one of Detroit's first cut-flower farms! We were happy to do our part in bringing some color and life to this Detroit neighborhood, and we had a great time in the process!
